Description

The Department of Social Rehabilitation and Social Pedagogy carries out professional training for the educational qualification levels “Bachelor of Social Pedagogy” and 3 Master Programs: “Social Rehabilitation”, “Social Pedagogy” and “Social inclusion”. Also, Department has “Social work” PHD program.

Department staff are highly competent in the field of provision of socio-psychological types of rehabilitation services to disadvantaged, vulnerable categories of population, as a result, of hostilities in the East of Ukraine, especially internally displaced persons and their families; servicemen and demobilized. Also, field of our professional activities are social-rehabilitation and social-pedagogue work with deviant and addictive behavior; children which faced with neglect and abuse; children and people with disabilities; graduates of orphanages and institutional care facilities.

The Department of Social Rehabilitation and Social Pedagogy cooperates with international non-governmental organizations and programs (UNDP, UNICEF, USAID, the NATO office in Ukraine), leading state scientific institutions (G.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine), leading faculties and departments of higher educational institutions of Ukraine, where social workers and social educators are trained.
