The book is an outcome of long-term cooperation among representatives of 11 countries from various continents, and it aims to give insights into social work casework. Within this cooperation both scholars and practitioners representing diverse institutions and work with different target groups were involved.

A short description of social work development within the country, 5 case descriptions and their intervention are included in the book Social Work Case Analysis: Global Perspective. The authors describe social work with families, abused women and children, persons in the prison environment, stigmatised and impoverished women. This book, where not only social work cases are collected but the rationale of social work intervention is also explained, enriches the social work academic and professional environment.

The book is intended for any interested person: social work educators and students, practitioners and everyone who is interested in social work.
